Privacy Policy

Effective: 09/06/2026 Last updated: 09/06/2026

This policy explains how Taskhooker Pty Ltd handles personal data in connection with the taskhooker.com website. It does not govern our Atlassian Marketplace apps — each app has its own in-product privacy policy, linked at the end.

The short version

  • This website runs no analytics, no cookies, and no tracking of any kind.
  • The only personal data we collect here is what you choose to send us through the contact form — your name, email address, and message.
  • We are an Australian company based in Melbourne. We never sell your data.
  • Our apps store nothing outside Atlassian. Their data practices are described in each app's own policy.

1. Who we are & what this policy covers

This website, taskhooker.com (and www.taskhooker.com), is operated by Taskhooker Pty Ltd (ABN 65 658 202 834), based in Melbourne, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean Taskhooker Pty Ltd. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

This policy applies only to this marketing website. It does not cover the data handled inside our Atlassian Marketplace apps (Recoup, Word Count for Confluence, and Issue Templates) — those run on Atlassian Forge and are each governed by their own privacy policy. See section 13 for links.

2. The data we collect

(a) Contact-form submissions

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and the contents of your message. You provide this voluntarily so that we can reply. Submissions are transmitted and delivered to our inbox through Web3Forms and Zoho Mail (see section 5).

(b) Server & security logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. As with virtually any website, Cloudflare automatically processes standard request metadata — such as your IP address, browser user-agent, and the time of the request — to deliver pages, defend against attacks, and keep the service reliable. We do not use these logs to identify or profile you.

(c) What we do not collect on this site

  • No cookies of any kind.
  • No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
  • No advertising or third-party tracking pixels, beacons, or fingerprinting.
  • No accounts, logins, or passwords (there is nothing to log in to).

3. How we use your information

  • To read and respond to your enquiry and provide support.
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and availability of the website and prevent abuse.

We do not sell or rent personal data, we do not use it for behavioural profiling, and we will not send you marketing without your separate, explicit consent.

4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on:

  • Consent — you choose to submit the contact form to reach us. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
  • Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries you send us, and keeping our website secure and operational.

5. Third parties & sub-processors

We do not sell or share your personal data. We do rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate this website:

ProviderPurposeData involved
Cloudflare, Inc. Website hosting, content delivery (CDN), and security Request metadata (IP address, user-agent, timestamps)
Web3Forms Delivers contact-form submissions to us Name, email address, message you submit
Zoho Corporation (Zoho Mail) Hosts our support@taskhooker.com inbox that receives enquiries Name, email address, message, and any later correspondence

6. International data transfers

We are based in Australia, and some of the providers above are located in or process data in other countries (including the United States). Where personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on those providers' own data-transfer safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms) to protect it.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails only for as long as needed to handle your request and any reasonable follow-up, after which they are deleted. Server and security logs are retained according to Cloudflare's standard retention periods. We do not maintain a long-term database of website visitors.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. To exercise any of them, email support@taskhooker.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

GDPR / UK GDPR

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your data, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request its deletion, and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Australia (Privacy Act 1988)

In line with the Australian Privacy Principles, you may request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you.

9. Security

All traffic to this website is encrypted in transit using TLS. If you believe you have found a security issue, please contact security@taskhooker.com.

10. Children's privacy

Taskhooker builds business administration tools. This website and our apps are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change, and we will note any material changes on this page.

13. Our apps and their own privacy policies

Data handled inside each Atlassian Marketplace app is governed by that app's own in-product privacy policy, not this one. Every Taskhooker app runs entirely on Atlassian Forge, so app data stays within Atlassian's infrastructure:
